CEBU SEO CONTEST
Sunday, August 17th, 2008A local SEO contest has apparently been infested with sharks. The Cebu SEO Contest is a search engine optimization contest wherein participants should optimize the keyword Cebu Seo Contest and eventually rank in the google’s Search Engine Results Page.
The big guys in SEO joined the contest three weeks before the actual contest would expire. This is considered a good tactic because since the competition is low. Optimization of the keywords is a just a walk in the park for them. The prize is actually not that big of deal for big players but to some newbies, this is a great opportunity for them to have a learning experience on how to go about SEO.
Why Infested by Big Players?
I have no freaking idea. The prize is a seven hundred bucks, (in PESOS!) a domain name, one year free hosting service and few entrecard points. Measley right? That is why i was left with a big question mark above my head. Big players joining a MINI-SEO contest? What gives? But this is a great challenge for future SEO’s and other wanna-be’s out there. So if you are one of the latter and have been discouraged f how the tables are now flipped, dont lose hope! Stop whining and do something about it. There are still things to consider and try to get out of the box for a moment and re-think of what possible strategies and tactics should you consider.
